The Western Cavaliers return from Harrison, AR with a 3-2 record after dropping their final game 12-4 versus the host school Northern Arkansas. Silas Ebbert and Adam Bozinski each threw 3 innings apiece, but neither could hold down the hot hitting North Ark squad. The game was tied at 3 going into the 4th inning before the North Ark team started to pull away. Offensively the Cavs were lead by Kyle Sime, Corey Jessesky and Shane Peterson who all had two hits apiece.
Overall the coaching staff was very pleased with the effort of the team. Each game we improved defensively and competed to the final outs. The Cavaliers return to action at Copeland Park, April 1 versus NJCAA DII Iowa Lakes Community College.
NOTES: When the Iowa Lakes Team comes to town, Coach Levendoski will be coaching against his former colleague Jason Nell. Coach Levendoski served as hitting coach under Coach Nell last summer for the Mankato Moondogs of the Northwoods League. The Moondogs won the First Half Championship and made the playoffs for the first time in franchise history setting numerous offensive records. This summer Coach Levendoski will be the Field Manager of the Brainerd Lake Area Lunkers.
